Date: Sunday, October 18th
Time: 3:00 PM
Place: Lindenwood Park Streets

LASM is excited to host the wildly popular Red and Black Brass Band on Sunday, October 18th! You may have seen them performing around town or heard about them on local news sources. The Red and Black Brass Band started playing together at the beginning of April 2020. The band had a mission of playing music for people during the initial St. Louis lockdown of the global Covid-19 pandemic. They marched down the middle of the empty St. Louis streets playing Second Line Brass Band music, a genre from New Orleans, Louisiana. The band has continued to play this way for people inside their homes, on their porches, or standing in their yards. Trying to spread as much music and joy as possible.

That joy is just what LASM desires to bring to our clients and neighbors while also raising some funds to support our ministry’s programs and services. So step outdoors with us to enjoy some light-hearted fun and safe/socially-distanced community!

Marching Route:
The corner of Oleatha and Jamieson to Oleatha and Ivanhoe. Left on Ivanhoe. Left on Marquette. Right on Ivanhoe. Left on Hancock, ending at the corner of Hancock and Jamieson.

LASM volunteers will be marching along with the band to share smiles and collect donations. All are welcome. Be sure to keep a safe social distance from others on the parade route and to bring a mask along. Hope to see you on the 18th!
