Saturday Servants.

LASM volunteers gather monthly to provide minor home maintenance and repair tasks for senior homeowners as well as home safety adaptations.

Some examples of projects that are appropriate for our Saturday Servant volunteers:

  • Installing grab bars

  • Stabilizing handrails

  • Installing a raised toilet seat or toilet handrails

  • Changing light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, clock batteries, or furnace filters

  • Minor plumbing work (such as fixing a leaky faucet or repairing a toilet flushing mechanism)

  • Minor electrical work (such as changing out a broken light fixture or oven burner)

  • Getting a closet or shower door back on its track

We take on projects within the skill levels of our volunteers and try to help with referrals when we are unable to meet needs.

This program also works with youth groups, mission teams, and business/corporate teams to provide yard work blitz days (i.e. leaf raking, cutting back overgrowth along fence lines, trimming hedges and small trees).

Registration is required for this program. You must live within the Lindenwood Park Neighborhood boundaries or be a registered member of one of LASM’s partner churches. To register contact LASM Case Manager leigh@lasministry.org or 314-376-4121.
