We are heading to Grand Avenue on Tuesday, June 11th, won’t you come along?! We’ll begin the day with a 10am guided tour of the fabulous Fox Theatre. Learn the behind-the-scenes history of this famous St. Louis landmark! The tour will last approximately one and a half hours and will be followed by lunch at The Best Steak House across Grand Avenue from the Fox.
After lunch we’ll head to a guided tour of the Magic Chef Mansion in the Compton Hill Reservoir Square neighborhood (just off Grand). Constructed in 1908, the Magic Chef Mansion is one of St. Louis’ premiere old-world estates. It was designed by Ernst Janssen for the founder of the Quick Meal and Magic Chef Stove Company, Charles Stockrom.
